About BlueJay
Why BlueJay Exists
For many, a traffic stop brings fear, confusion, and uncertainty. BlueJay is here to change that.
BlueJay is built on the belief that clear communication and shared understanding can shift the entire experience. By giving both parties more information before an interaction begins, BlueJay helps everyone feel safer and seen.
Currently
Law enforcement officers have no information about who they’ve pulled over. The only information available during a traffic stop is current vehicle insurance status, vehicle registration status, active warrants, and previous traffic stop history – nothing about the person behind the wheel.
With BlueJay
Officers are given an essential missing piece: humanizing information about the driver. The BlueJay Driver Profile completes the circle of necessary information needed to conduct a fair, intentional interaction during a traffic stop.
Our Story
BlueJay was founded by a father and son who share a commitment to public safety, community connection, and meaningful change. Their combined experience in networking, technology, and social justice became the foundation for a platform designed to bridge the gap between citizens and officers.
The duo wanted to build something simple, human, and transformative. BlueJay is that solution.
The Name and Identity
Blue jays are intelligent, protective birds known for awareness and quick communication. They defend without aggression. They embody strength without malice. The name BlueJay captures this exact space. It honors the color long associated with law enforcement while introducing a symbol of clarity and protection.
The logomark is a stylized police badge that also forms the shape of a blue jay. It bridges both worlds with respect, balance, and purpose.
Our Mission
